You all should know that this is Brandy, the other half of this crazy project and my sister. Brandy has been one of my biggest inspirations and supporters when it comes to photography and life. We’ve always been there for each other and we’ve been the best of buds ever since I was born. Like all siblings we’ve been mad at each other and hurt each other, but we always get through it. Brandy has had one of the roughest roads of anyone I know. But she has stayed strong and determined. That strength has helped others myself included. We’ve seen some pretty dark moments and gone through them for each other. It’s hard to put what I want to say about her into words. I love her very much though and she can be an amazing person.
Eeek!!! The day finally came!! I’ve spoke of this before, last April we shot our short film, Chronicles of a Dead Man. George Kirtley wrote & funded the film, KC filmed it & me, well I kept the boys in line and was in KCs ear and third arm as well as still shots.
I had such an amazing time working with them. Tonight our film was shown in Danville, IN and it was awesome. George & KC attended the Trail Dance Film Fest in Oklahoma earlier this year, but this was my first.
Thank you for an amazing opportunity to be a part of something so awesome & fun, George & KC.
(This is not my photo, but taken by a gentleman taking photos of the whole event, Steve Smith)
The trees are beginning to change colors and Fall is upon us here in Central Indiana. This is my favorite season and it can be spectacular for shooting. It is amazing to look up and see the incredible colors. It is nature’s last hurrah before winter comes on and things go dormant. So take a minute to look up or around you. There are some amazing things around us.
Originally brewed by a German born Mexican, Wilhelm Hasse in 1897. The brand name was Siglo XX (20th Century) to commemorate the arrival of the new century, and the bottles were marked with the Roman numeral for 20 (XX) thus ‘Does Equis’ which is Spanish for ‘two x’s’. (Wikipedia)
This photo is for a dear friend of mine who totally took care of me this evening for the Chris Young & Dierks Bentley show, which also happened to be the last show of the ‘Summer Concert Series.’
What an amazing night. Thank you Brett Glaze for ensuring that it would rock. It didn’t stop at Klipsch either. Cheese curds, pickles, pool, more beer, a little two step, cowboy hat, heartbeats & memories.
Stay thirsty my friends :-)!!
To describe today….there aren’t words….I could only hope what happened today will eventually be normal for me, always a natural high.
After shooting sunrise, I headed up to Cape Hatteras to grab some shots of the lighthouse. After I was finished, I wandered across the way to the beach. I noticed some people standing around a roped off area with signs announcing the sea turtle nest just beyond the rope. I chatted with the people there, to find out they were excavating that nest shortly! As they began to dig up the nest, they sat aside the eggs to count and track. 75 total, 15 unhatched & 1still hanging out in the nest, the rest, well hopefully they made it to sea. The remaining one was taken back to be checked out and released later. I stood and chatted with the rangers, finding out very helpful & useful information. I gave them my contact information, and was invited back this evening to watch them release 35 baby turtles (including the one from this morning) into the wild ocean.
What an amazing event. You almost felt proud to be part of something so awesome. Hoping the best for these babies in such an aggressive world.
This is me. This is what I want to do. <3!!
I was headed back south from Ft Wayne after spending a great day with family & friends when the above happened. I pulled over on the side of I69 and shot this photo. People were flying by at over 70mph not thinking twice about what was taking place just to their right hand side. Often times I wonder, how do people not see what I see?!
I realize we don’t all see things the same way, what a boring world this would be. Stepping back and taking another look, perhaps from another point of view is how we are able to see so much of this world.
I’ve always found the architecture amazing in Vegas. I mean at least they are putting lost money to good cause.
The buildings that stand incredibly tall with amazing detail. Not to mention all that go into the casinos as well as outside or around them. Just absolutely stunning.
In 1962 a man named Jay took the $35 million that was loaned to him and began to construct what was then 14 stories and 680 rooms and called it Caesars Palace. He chose the name because he thought it would evoke thoughts of royalty because of Roman general Julius Caesar. In 1969 he sold the hotel for $60 million. There are now 3,960 rooms within 6 towers & 166,000 sq feet of gaming space.
Shot outside Caesars Palace and we are still unsure if it’s pager friendly….
Friday the 13th. Full moon. Full moon at 12:13am. During the month of June the Sun’s path across the sky is at it’s highest & the moon is at it’s lowest keeping the lunar orb close to the horizon making … Continue reading
I really hope I’m not the only one that gets this feeling or thought. Have you ever just looked at your significant other? Like really looked. I do that with Hannah. It comes at the most random times. I just look at her and all I can think is “Wow.” I get those butterflies in my stomach. Like the ones when you’re nervous or like you’d get around a crush or on a first date. I know it’s only been five months. But I look at her and I think of how incredibly lucky I am to be sitting across from her, looking at her. I look at her and see an amazing person. A person with a beautiful and inspiring personality. I look at her and see how incredibly gorgeous she is. I look at her how you would look at someone beautiful that you had never seen before. I look at her and my heartbeat picks up and I smile and I have to catch my breath. I think of how lucky I am to be loved by her. I think of the very first time I saw her and how I thought I’d never stand a chance with her, and here I am, sitting across from her, taking this shot and writing these words and I couldn’t be happier. And I realize how madly in love with her I am and I just smile even more. And all these thoughts rush up from just looking at her and all I can say is “Wow!”
My munchkin and I at the beach for the first time (for her). She LOVED it!!! She rolled in the sand like she had been off earth forever hahaha then went running into the waves, biting at them, then back out to the beach and back into the water. Several times.
I knew this day was coming for months! I was excited for her. I knew it would be awesome! What I didn’t know was the joy and fulfillment I was going to get from it.
I love her more than life and seeing her so happy and have such a great time, was such an awesome moment for me!
