These kids!! Onyx, Oliver, Haylee & Lillian creekside for Sunday Funday. Onyx & Haylee are my bestfriend, Alicia, dogs. We took them down to the creek to burn off some energy as hers had been couped up coming off her 6 day in a row work week and mine because of the rain. They chased tennis balls up creek for well over an hour. They all got along great and are now completely worn out. Glad we were able to get them out and enjoy such a beautiful fall day!
Alicia has been a great friend and always super supportive. (She was the one in the night photo making a heart with me and our arms) People like her are hard to find. Loyal, forgiving, understanding, supportive, honest, generous….Thank you. I cannot wait for our shenanigans in a week!!!!
Today wasn’t easy. Maybe its the weather, I feel like I’m lost in Seattle. However the sun has set so I cannot complain. Rain through the day makes for long ones & hyper dogs.
Driving for sunset accepting I may not see much of one, this reflection caught me. Flooding the hole in the middle of the road, deceiving those that pass through, painting that which surrounds it, catching true colors.
Oddly enough I stopped, got out of my truck and stood there, ‘reflecting’ on recent days, prior to taking this photo. The beauty captured reflected so much.
I’ve always been drawn to abandoned & forgotten places. I wanna know the story. What was here before, how did it become forgotten and what’s next?
A few places have given me the creeps, but most of the time it’s intriguing to look around and take photos of someone’s past.
This particular photo was taken of an old farm house off a numbered country road. The broken window with a lace wild flower growing in front, caught my attention.
*SideNote* Lilly & Oliver often go with me to shoot photos, definitely if I’m not feeling well in case something happens. As I’m knee deep in wild flowers again, in front of this old abandoned farm house, Lilly jumps in the front seat and honks the horn scaring the piss out of me.
Jesse, ‘Storm’, Jason & Ben. I love these boys! Most wouldn’t, but I consider myself lucky to call them mine. These boys have been friends for years through school, girlfriends, drunken nights, roommates & many Vegas trips. Ben and his wife are leaving for the UK for some time, allowing Ben to continue his schooling.
Having friends deeply rooted as these boys makes for a lifetime of memories, laughter, tears & good freakin’ times, however it makes goodbyes difficult.
We will be holdin’ it down here in The States upon your return & we wish you kids the best of luck!!
Oliver is pretty legit! I got to spend some much needed time with KC grabbing breakfast, driving aimlessly & puppy play time at Mimi’s. Oliver loved it all. So well behaved & polite. He crashed hard on the way home next to a lens bigger than him 🙂 What a great day!
After a mildly lousy day yesterday, a decently long day at work, I had a very enjoyable dinner with some great friends!
A happy life comes in part with the company you keep. You keep happy, healthy, fun people in you’re life that’s bound to be a path you continue down.
Patio dinner, wine, laughter, memories & stories.
Thank you Ben & Nikki G. and Jason W. for all that you’ve done and being part of the amazing support group that surrounds me. Love you guys and here’s to Vegas!!
Though I’m missing my ‘right arm’ I still saw the shot and took it.
Vegetarian heaven!! Roasted red pepper hummus, avocado, mushroom & feta cheese. Delicious! The glass?! Stella Cider! Not to mention I LOVE the glass says ‘Ruthless’, had I known how true that would hold later in my evening!!
A great Sunday with some of my favorites, good food, beer, live music, cheese bites, hot ladies & ninja turtles in alleys.
