A change in the weather. Some gnarly clouds rolled through tonight. Thunderstorms remind me of so much. I love the smell of rain, the roll of thunder, the surprise of lightning, the ominous look the clouds hold and the breathe taking sky it creates after the madness. It is all simply so easing and beautiful.
Every year deadly storms rip through small towns or big cities. Lives are randomly chosen and lost. For those, we remember.
Shot over Giest Reservoir after the storm.
This is one photo. One day. One evening. One sunset. LOVE this photo. It looks like two. Like a sunny day. A cloudy day. Split evenly with the tree. A middle ground. Today’s sunset was beautiful. I finally had a hard time choosing which photo I was going to use.
Its like a coin, like everything or anything it has two sides. This was one of those photos I captured but hadn’t realized its true beauty until I looked at it later.
Shot at my local pond, like a country song 😉
Seriously I can focus on nothing but the sun setting when I know its coming. I can be super busy at work and yet continue to peak out the window. I won’t hesitate to ask someone to keep an eye on things so I can run outside and snap a quick photo. There is something about watching the sun set to summarize the days end.
What makes me smile though, is getting texts from my friends or family members asking if I’m catching the sunset, if I can see the colors in the sky, or if I see the cloud line. They know what it means to me and that is awesome. Tonights cloud line was gnarly!
Shot outside of work, slinging drinks and selling wings.
