Brandy Day179: Belle, Dakota & Tim

image

I was out shooting sunset as usual when I happened upon this site 🙂
As I drove by,  I hesitated on getting out and taking the photo, but as I debated I knew that I would forever regret not getting it. So I found myself out of my truck and walking toward this gentleman.
Very nice and handsome cowboy 😉 He rescued Belle from the ‘wild’ and she’s about 2. She is the Burro better known as a donkey. Tim also rescued Dakota from the wild at the age of 3 and he is now 8. He is a Mustang. Tim was just out riding, training Belle, smoking a cigar and watching the sunset ❤
I loved seeing this!!! Thank you for stopping your sunset ride and chatting!

Brandy Day170: Flooded Chaos

image

Summer storms. Where it can be shining sun, torrential downpour, sun again, melting heat and when the rain hits the pavement its instant steam.
Its such a sweet smell. Rain on hot country roads. Wet soil. The smell of corn growing in the fields. The way the winds blow and bring those scents to you.
Sometimes I wish photography was scratch and sniff. So you could really feel the photo. This grabbed my attention. The reflection of the sun setting in the distance. The reflection of corn from the drowning field. It stopped me. A scene so beautiful, with so many smells and emotions, just washed up waiting for someone to carelessly drive through. Disrupting the beauty.

Chandler Day 156: Cornfields & Dust Clouds

DSC03603A good portion of today was spent driving. I had nothing to do today and no really to see. So I drove. I drove down twisting country roads, kicking up dust, speeding past farms and blaring music. I thought about a lot of stuff, daydreamed, and cleared my head. Some days I hate driving. And other days I love it. Today was one of those days. I like to explore, I like having the road to myself, I like my music and I like my alone time.
