This is Apache Pier, or at least the underside of it. It’s the longest pier on the East Coast and really is very pretty. The waves crashing through the tunnel of beams sounds amazing, while fishermen cast off from above. It’s a classic pier.
Needed some time away from ‘life’, so I took a drive. Headed north to a place I’d recently seen photos of, Michigan City, Indiana. I must admit, I’m slightly upset that I’m just now seeing this part of Indiana for … Continue reading
Spring time in Indiana. Its rains often and some pretty gnarly storms. I don’t mind though, as long as I’ve nothing to do and I can lay in bed or on the couch and enjoy them. The loud distant thunder, the pouring rain, the smell of hot wet pavement, how green everything looks after a rain and just the overall freshness it restores to the earth.
A favorite childhood memory was when we went out and played in the puddles after a hot summer rain. Guess that love followed me into adulthood 🙂
Memories are easier to hold onto rather than material gifts.
Shot this where I generally see the sun set, just after a storm!
I’m sure these two gentlemen thought I was either DNR or an absolute nut case. I was sitting on the banks alone taking photos of the sun melting into the water. I was waiting for the shot. I know it was coming as they slowly trolled across the water. Finally there it was right before me. The beautiful silhouette of them in their fishing boat. The cloud line that lingered above. The melting sun in the back.
When you get something or someone so great consider it a perfect catch. Hold onto it.
Shot over Giest after this crazy hectic Tuesday.
Thank you to Dr. Aaron and his staff for helping with my puppy today.
I love night time. Its like another world. Everything looks different. More mysterious. The moon lights your way while twinkling stars watch from a far.
Its rained for a couple days now, almost like I’m in Seattle. They tell me it rains a lot there, I’ve never been 😉 During the summer when its warm and the pavement is hot and it rains, Best. Smell. Ever! Tonight reminded me of this. Not to mention all the crawlers, I wanted to call a good friend, grab some beers & poles and hit the closet pond.
