These kids!! Onyx, Oliver, Haylee & Lillian creekside for Sunday Funday. Onyx & Haylee are my bestfriend, Alicia, dogs. We took them down to the creek to burn off some energy as hers had been couped up coming off her 6 day in a row work week and mine because of the rain. They chased tennis balls up creek for well over an hour. They all got along great and are now completely worn out. Glad we were able to get them out and enjoy such a beautiful fall day!
Alicia has been a great friend and always super supportive. (She was the one in the night photo making a heart with me and our arms) People like her are hard to find. Loyal, forgiving, understanding, supportive, honest, generous….Thank you. I cannot wait for our shenanigans in a week!!!!
Today was like yesterday. Still the need to think and be removed. Recently I argued with someone about religion and it wasn’t fun at all. I know everyone is upset with me because of what I believe in. I doubt that it will ever change. But they are my beliefs. I am entitled to them. They are not hasty or born out of anger. Yes I have been angry before and I have been hurt. But my beliefs come from my reasoning and my search for truth. And yes, maybe they will change. But for now this is what they are. All I ask is respect for them. Aside from this, in the argument spirituality was discussed and I most definitely believe that I can and anyone can be spiritual without god. Today I sat in a woods next to a stream and watched leaves float by and listened to the wind and the trees. And I connected to nature on a deeper or higher level than the mere physical. It was quiet and simple. It was honest and pure and beautiful. There were things to be listened to and learned. Some may say that it is god speaking. But I say it is nature itself speaking and connecting. Reaching out. And I am spiritual no less than any Christian or Muslim or Hindu or any religious person. Maybe this whole example means nothing to you who read it. But to me, it means so much.
Haha!! Soooo I’m out shooting sunset, shocker I know. My truck is pulled off the side of the road with the flashers on. Sometimes people stop to see if I need help, others just slowly drive by looking at me wondering what I’m doing squatting knee deep in a field of wild flowers. Anyhow, a car is making the turn and he begins to slow down. I realize its a clown. He stops and kinda laughs asking if I need help. I laugh back and thank him explaining I’m just shooting photos and ask if I can take his.
Its good to see there are still good, helpful, honest people that still walk this Earth. Thanks Klem!!
Jesse, ‘Storm’, Jason & Ben. I love these boys! Most wouldn’t, but I consider myself lucky to call them mine. These boys have been friends for years through school, girlfriends, drunken nights, roommates & many Vegas trips. Ben and his wife are leaving for the UK for some time, allowing Ben to continue his schooling.
Having friends deeply rooted as these boys makes for a lifetime of memories, laughter, tears & good freakin’ times, however it makes goodbyes difficult.
We will be holdin’ it down here in The States upon your return & we wish you kids the best of luck!!
This photo reminds me of my childhood. The reason I’m drawn to train tracks. My grandma lived next to tracks. She made everything better. So sensible. A strong, loving, caring & beautiful woman.
I feel a sense of freedom. Standing there looking into the endless existence.
This particular track is about 12 stories above a lake. 90 years old. Solid. How was something so complex built so long ago.
It amazes me how we are where we are from where we’ve come.
Today was a fantastic day! Some great conversation, willingness, friendship & country roads. Lots of country roads <3!
This here is Mary. She is dating my younger brother Nick. Going through nursing school. Has more than an amazing personality and she’s gorgeous!
Its because of her and Nicks existence that she’s in my life.
I just wanted to take this time to thank her for being such a great friend and supporter. Your friendship and time mean more to me than you’ll ever know. Thanks for always thinking of me and being there for me. :-)!!
