These kids!! Onyx, Oliver, Haylee & Lillian creekside for Sunday Funday. Onyx & Haylee are my bestfriend, Alicia, dogs. We took them down to the creek to burn off some energy as hers had been couped up coming off her 6 day in a row work week and mine because of the rain. They chased tennis balls up creek for well over an hour. They all got along great and are now completely worn out. Glad we were able to get them out and enjoy such a beautiful fall day!
Alicia has been a great friend and always super supportive. (She was the one in the night photo making a heart with me and our arms) People like her are hard to find. Loyal, forgiving, understanding, supportive, honest, generous….Thank you. I cannot wait for our shenanigans in a week!!!!
So I had to borrow this picture from Brandy, as I did not actually shoot any photos tonight. I needed a night off from everything. It has been a long week and another long week looms ahead. I was honestly so tired and worn out that I didn’t want to go anywhere. But Hannah encouraged me to go. So tonight I relaxed and enjoyed my time with Hannah, Brandy, Nick and a big group of great Chivers. We played some games, donated to a good cause, talked with some fun people and had a lot of fun ourselves. It was a good night and I needed it. So thank you Brandy for the lovely photo and for inviting me to what is always a good time and thank you Hannah for encouraging me to go when I wanted to be a bum and not go out.
Yet another great time with other Chivers & Chivettes! The meet up tonight at Dave N Busters was such a good time.
This meet up was to support the Hamilton County Humane Society! Met a lot of great people and raised money for the abandoned fur babies!
I love being involved with Chive and what it stands for. If you don’t Chive yet, you should. Get behind something that’s amazingly hilarious, yet supports so many great charities.
Finally!! I got my KCCO hoody, though this week its been upwards 90°. I cannot wait to wear this!!
I love shooting photos for Chive Charity events and I love the meaning behind Chive. Thank you for keeping me entertained during the painful times. KCCO!!!
Chandler beat me to it. In my defense I was waiting on him to send me the photos though. So I’m assuming he looked through them, chose his photo posted it & then sent them to me 😉
Growing up is hard. Like Chandler said we used to celebrate together. Then I got old, moved out, it was no longer ‘cool’ to have your birthday with your big sister.
It was a great surprise to be able to do this again. Thank you guys!
Today I went to my mom’s to celebrate my and Brandy’s birthday. It’s a few days past mine and a few days before hers, but we used to celebrate them together all the time. We would have Rugrats and CatDog themed cakes when I was younger. Mom made us Orange Kiss Me Cake (a family tradition from our Grandma) and put 32 candles on one side and 19 on the other. It was a good day and it was great being able to celebrate with Brandy again (this time with matching Chive shirts). Happy Early Birthday Bran and KCCO!
Today I had the pleasure of working the Jimmy Buffett pre party at Klipsch with Mad Anthony Brewery. I had such a great time and met some really cool people. I love when I get to do events like this. I even met some fellow Chivers, though this one was my favorite! I hope all had a great evening at the show and again thank you to Mad Anthony Brewery and Blaine Stuckey for allowing me to be a part of such a fun event!!
Animals!!! All of us! What a group! I shot this at the most recent Chive meet up at Mucky Duck. This meet up benefitted chive charities. I’d have to say it was by far the best one I’ve attended! Met some awesome people & I was RAKD twice!
There is a certain bond with Chivers. One I cannot really explain or pinpoint. Perhaps its the understanding that we are all in this world together. Small random acts can really go a long way. Change someone’s day for the better or make a forever lasting impression.
If you haven’t yet, download the app or go to the website. Enjoy a laugh or beautiful photo. Try and pay it forward and always keep calm and chive on!
This is Colton Darst. He is a year and a half old. On September 20 2012 he was born. At birth he was diagnosed with Arthrogryposis, a disease characterized on the outside by severe contractures of the joints in the arms and legs.
I had the pleasure of photographing this happy baby this evening at a Chive event to raise money for him at the Stacked Pickle in Fishers IN.
I saw no disease. I saw a happy baby who loved the comfort of his parents, a bit overwhelmed by all the people, a child who loves french fries and gold fish crackers, I saw people coming together to help donate to a child whom 1/2 of us had never met before tonight. I saw happiness. I saw loyalty to humanity. Nights like I witnessed tonight are the reason I LOVE to shoot.
I’d like to thank Colton’s parents for sharing. Sharing so we are aware. Sharing a beautiful child. Sharing your family. Thank you to Stacked Pickle of Fishers for hosting a great event. Thank you Chive, for opening awareness to life. For creating a website that has brought so many people together, helped so many people & continue to give laughter.
If you don’t Chive, please check it out. KCCO!!
Last night I was able to hang out with Nick and Brandy, my brother and sister, at a Chive meetup. I always have a great time when I get to see them. I don’t know what I’d do without these two. Brandy is my best friend. We’ve been through a lot with each other. She always makes me laugh, she’s there for me when I need her and she inspired me to be a photographer. I always love seeing what she shoots and it’s amazing how great she’s gotten. Nick has always been a great brother to me. I know I can go to him anytime I need to. He’s a brother that I can look up to. I love you both so much.
