This is Nick, my brother. Nick has always been a great brother to me. He always seems to be there for me when I need him the most. Oftentimes I don’t think I need to talk to him, but he’ll call me up and what he has to say is just right. Nick is hilarious and has always made me laugh with his stories and jokes. He’s a goofball. He’s caring, smart, hard-working, strong, sensitive, funny, loyal, a great brother, a great friend and a great man. I love him and I’m glad that he is my brother.
These kids!! Onyx, Oliver, Haylee & Lillian creekside for Sunday Funday. Onyx & Haylee are my bestfriend, Alicia, dogs. We took them down to the creek to burn off some energy as hers had been couped up coming off her 6 day in a row work week and mine because of the rain. They chased tennis balls up creek for well over an hour. They all got along great and are now completely worn out. Glad we were able to get them out and enjoy such a beautiful fall day!
Alicia has been a great friend and always super supportive. (She was the one in the night photo making a heart with me and our arms) People like her are hard to find. Loyal, forgiving, understanding, supportive, honest, generous….Thank you. I cannot wait for our shenanigans in a week!!!!
This kid. My goodness. What a joy to have and watch grow & learn. He is such a handful but every time I look at him in frustration, I remember the joy and laughter he brings me, and that certainly outweighs it all.
This afternoon we spent creekside. Possibly his most favorite place. He is so funny romping through the water chasing his ball down. After giving them both a bath when we got home, he crawled up in this chair and passed out in the sunshine.
Huge Thank You to Bill @ Bill Crabtree Silver Labs in Muncie Indiana. Raising & breeding such beautiful, loving, smart labs!
I’ve always been drawn to abandoned & forgotten places. I wanna know the story. What was here before, how did it become forgotten and what’s next?
A few places have given me the creeps, but most of the time it’s intriguing to look around and take photos of someone’s past.
This particular photo was taken of an old farm house off a numbered country road. The broken window with a lace wild flower growing in front, caught my attention.
*SideNote* Lilly & Oliver often go with me to shoot photos, definitely if I’m not feeling well in case something happens. As I’m knee deep in wild flowers again, in front of this old abandoned farm house, Lilly jumps in the front seat and honks the horn scaring the piss out of me.
Oliver had his first play date with an older woman. He was so excited to see her and play, however Molly was just a bit unsure. She’s used to being the only dog and getting all the attention. She did well with him though but definitely not willing to share her Frisbee at all.
Oliver has been great socializing with other dogs and people. He’s awesome in public as well. He has such a sweet and chill demeanor.
Thanks Chris for allowing us to come play and double thanks for sharing biscuits!!! Still amazed you can leave the jumbo box of MilkBones open and Molly ‘Bear’ won’t touch them.
‘Go find a new rose, don’t be afraid of thorns, cause we all have thorns.’
Roses. I’ve never been a fan. I’m not sure why. Maybe the lack of uniqueness they have, or the popularity they live in. Any rate, they have a beautiful vibrant floral look. Classy & strong. The thorns, they are hidden. Hidden beneath the beauty and strength in a world where they are already considered beautifully perfect. We use roses to symbolize love and beauty. Its all too obvious why.
Everything good comes to an end at some point. I knew this day was coming. The end of a great trip. The drive home. The inevitable return to work & reality. Lilly enjoyed every minute of her beach & boating time. I loved watching her. Watching her love life, really enjoying it. I finally felt like I was able to give back to her all the happiness and joy she’s given to me.

Today, like most, I spent the day shooting. We were set to have Easter dinner at my dads around six.
I knew it would be different than most dinners as Nick wouldn’t be able to join due to work. I was bummed, but didn’t realize how much until I took him leftovers at work. Durrty, thank you for being my best friend, biggest rock & protecting me. I love you!
My best friend. My favorite tracks. My love for photography. Slight breeze. Suns shining. Clearing my head before a night at work indoors. I love her so much. She can make any situation or day better and she’s always one step behind me. As long as she can see me she is fine, otherwise she’s uneasy not able to see the trouble her mom is about to get in 😉 My world. My love. My happiness. Thanks for always being there. I love you Lills!
