Brandy Day131: Every Storm Runs Out Of Rain

image

Spring time in Indiana. Its rains often and some pretty gnarly storms. I don’t mind though, as long as I’ve nothing to do and I can lay in bed or on the couch and enjoy them. The loud distant thunder, the pouring rain, the smell of hot wet pavement, how green everything looks after a rain and just the overall freshness it restores to the earth.
A favorite childhood memory was when we went out and played in the puddles after a hot summer rain. Guess that love followed me into adulthood 🙂
Memories are easier to hold onto rather than material gifts.
Shot this where I generally see the sun set, just after a storm!

Chandler Day 119: Night Puddles & Morning Robins

DSC02674I’m often up very late every night, usually till 2 a.m., sometimes 4 a.m. When I walked out of the dorm tonight, things were very quiet, despite being in the city. I like that about the night. It’s quiet. Well except for the Robins that were singing. It was odd. You’re used to hearing them sing in the morning but not this early or late, however you look at it. So I walked to my car, Robins singing, city and campus quiet, puddles in the street. Things were quiet, sky was clear, air fresh, head clear, body relaxed. Calm, cool. That’s what I like about the night.
