Ignited to provide light, sometimes heat & historically used as a method to keep time. The earliest candles originated in China around 200 BC.
I almost always have a candle burning while at home. To me it sets a soft, relaxing atmosphere. Watching the flame dance sometimes a contained area. Trying to escape from the heat that it produces itself. Running from something its forever attached to.
‘It took awhile for her to figure out that she could run, but when she did she was gone, long gone, long gone.’
I’ve always been pretty good at running. Figuratively and literally. Perhaps that’s why I love sunsets so much. It signifies an end. A new start, just hours away. A chance to run and start over.
Not all running is bad. I know that your ‘problems’ will follow no matter where you end up. However, sometimes leaving what is comfortable is the only way to find out what your limits are.
The quote I started with is from the song by Keith Urban, Stupid Boy.
If you want a happy ending, it depends on where you stop the story.
I’m a runner. I love running. When I hit that ‘runners high’, limits are endless. Recent health issues have caused setbacks. I’m just getting back to running, hoping to be able to do so at least 3 times a week.
Lillian was with me for my first run, this spring. We ran a solid two miles with 15 pushups before, at & after each mile. For those of you who know me this seems so simple, but for those of you who KNOW me, this is huge!! Thank you for all your continued love & support!
Shot after a mid afternoon Friday run! ❤
