Brandy Day280: Human Sinkhole

image

Today wasn’t easy. Maybe its the weather, I feel like I’m lost in Seattle. However the sun has set so I cannot complain. Rain through the day makes for long ones & hyper dogs.
Driving for sunset accepting I may not see much of one, this reflection caught me. Flooding the hole in the middle of the road, deceiving those that pass through, painting that which surrounds it, catching true colors.
Oddly enough I stopped, got out of my truck and stood there,  ‘reflecting’ on recent days, prior to taking this photo. The beauty captured reflected so much.

Chandler Day 259: Quick, Look Up Before It’s Gone

DSC05161I do a lot of driving and right now the weather is perfect for having the windows rolled down and the sun roof open. It’s one of my favorite things to have everything open as I drive down the road.  Usually the photos are shot through the windows or through the front window. But every now and the you look up and a shot presents itself. Now I have been told not to shoot while driving, by a few people. But sometimes the shots are just too good and I try to be as safe as possible when I shoot. I will have you know that I learned this technique from the best 😉

Brandy Day216: 4 Hours

image

One of those days that warrants a 4 hour country cruise with the windows down and no destination.
I’ve shot this particular place before but today the sun highlighted the fence just right, giving beautiful color to all that was enclosed.
I enjoy moments like these.

Chandler Day 203: I Don’t Want to Leave

photo 1This morning was hard. I didn’t want to wake up. I had to convince myself to listen to my alarm. I had to tell myself that yes, I do need to show up to work. I have to leave her and this warm bed for lumber and hard work. I wasn’t happy, but I did it. And I was greeted by a pretty sunrise and fog over the cornfields. It was a small little gift to try and make the day a little bit better.

Brandy Day200: I Need A Bean Field!

image

Watching the sun melt on a back country road with the sweet smell of corn and freshly turned soil.
Most don’t understand the satisfaction or the comfort I get when doing this. Nothing but freedom. You can keep your thoughts or go empty minded. There is too much to focus on when you have time and open roads.
I challenge you to try this one evening. Find some country roads, roll the windows down, get your favorite jams going and just drive.

Brandy Day168: Good Direction

Sunrise on Washington Park Beach was too epic not to share another photo.
I really love this lighthouse. The way the sun lights it up after a night under the stars. This lighthouse sees the Earth rotate. The sun rise. The sun set. The moon rise. The Earth shift.
This weekend brought light to some important events and decisions that needed to be made.
