Today was the Brickyard 400!! NASCAR racing in Indianapolis. Thanks to a very good friend I was able to attend this beautiful day. Matt Kenseth is my favorite driver, I’ve followed him since I’ve followed NASCAR. I met him a couple years back and I was so nervous I couldn’t remember how to use my camera, it was pretty awesome. Today he finished 4th. I also consumed a foot long corn dog that was absolutely amazing!!
(*side note: I’ve been a vegetarian for several years*)
Happy Race Day Indy 500 fans!!!
The first flyover took place in 1918 over Fenway Park in Boston at the start of the World Series to symbolize to the crowd the strength and sophistication of the military during World War 1, however it was pigeons.
Flyovers are now done after the national anthem & before outdoor events such as races, football games & baseball games.
Tradition. Thank you to pilots then and now. For all who’ve fought for our freedom and right to enjoy days like today!
Saturday of race weekend at the Jason Aldean concert. This guy.
Haha! It was a great show. A great time with my brother Nick & his buddy Rush. No clue who the guy is in the photo, but I should know him!! I love watching people have a great time!
Somehow the three of us spent $24 at McDonalds as well. I only ordered a small fry. Solid work boys.
I need to thank Scott B. for the tickets and making sure we had a great time. Thanks again for all that you do, you already know what it means to me.
Today opens the biggest weekend in racing, the Indianapolis 500. Carb Day. It’s also one of the biggest party weekends. Two major concerts, Friday & Saturday, then the race on Sunday. People camp out everywhere around the tack holding traditions from years past. Its something to see that’s for sure.
Perfect weather for an Indianapolis tradition.
Chris Lynch. An amazing mother. A strong woman. Beautiful. Courageous. Hopeful. Supportive. Giving. Loving. Role model. We will always have a bond, that not even death can take away.
Chris lost her son Jordan 8years ago to suicide. Standing by her side, watching her cry, the pain she endures, the moments she wants to break down, yet all the love and compassion she still has to offer. Jordan’s friends call her Momma Lynch. They bring their children over to meet someone who was always a positive influence as they grew up. Jordan’s father still, to this day, coaches the local track team where Jordan attended school.
Amazing people with more to offer, cheated of so many experiences, yet finding ways to still give back and be a part.
I love them as they are my own set of parents. Thank you. For everything you’ve done for not just me, but all whose lives you’ve touched. For raising two boys. For enduring so much pain, yet still loving and laughing. For allowing me to be a part of your life. Be a part of who you are. I love you Chris & Keith Lynch ❤
