For quite some time now it has been tradition to go to Dull’s Tree Farm in Mechanicsburg to get our Christmas tree. This year we went on Black Friday and to say it was packed is an understatement. I have never seen so many people there in all the years we have been going. The line to pay for the trees was insanely long. But it was still fun, we got a great treat and it was Hannah’s first time going to cut down a real Christmas tree.
Today I went to my mom’s to celebrate my and Brandy’s birthday. It’s a few days past mine and a few days before hers, but we used to celebrate them together all the time. We would have Rugrats and CatDog themed cakes when I was younger. Mom made us Orange Kiss Me Cake (a family tradition from our Grandma) and put 32 candles on one side and 19 on the other. It was a good day and it was great being able to celebrate with Brandy again (this time with matching Chive shirts). Happy Early Birthday Bran and KCCO!
Happy Race Day Indy 500 fans!!!
The first flyover took place in 1918 over Fenway Park in Boston at the start of the World Series to symbolize to the crowd the strength and sophistication of the military during World War 1, however it was pigeons.
Flyovers are now done after the national anthem & before outdoor events such as races, football games & baseball games.
Tradition. Thank you to pilots then and now. For all who’ve fought for our freedom and right to enjoy days like today!
Today opens the biggest weekend in racing, the Indianapolis 500. Carb Day. It’s also one of the biggest party weekends. Two major concerts, Friday & Saturday, then the race on Sunday. People camp out everywhere around the tack holding traditions from years past. Its something to see that’s for sure.
Perfect weather for an Indianapolis tradition.
It was another great day of vacation. We got to see the beautiful Brookgreen Gardens and then we spent the rest of the day at Huntington Beach SP. Our vacation is almost over, but it has been a great time. I’ve had a lot of fun and it’s been great to relax and hang out with Hannah and her family. While we were at the beach, I took a walk with Hannah and we explored the beach. And as we walked back she told me she wanted a photo that was like the original photo I took of us holding hands. She said she wanted it to be our new tradition. We would take one like it wherever we went. And so we got this shot. Her beautiful hand, held in mine. The first of many more shots that will be from all around the world.
