Today I went to a beautiful bridge and another waterfall that is close to the Ecolab. The area is filled with various stone structures, like bridges, cisterns, pump houses and a coach house. All relics from the wealthy businessmen that used to live here. They make for some interesting shots and this is one of the best bridges on the property.
So this little, mini waterfall isn’t actually in the Ecolab. It is in an adjoining property that I found a while back and now explore from time to time. I think Brandy may have also shot this waterfall at one point. I walked past it today and I looked so pretty, so I stopped and got a few photos, trying to get a decent picture without my tripod.
I regret to inform you that my camera & I had an accident. However!!! Its on the mend and I will be back at it soon.
I feel so lost. Its like my child, my left arm, my other half. Its what I do. Its a part of me. I realize how much its a part of my heart.
Let’s just say ‘waterfall’ is not a literal term that should be used with Canon products….
Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions going from contentment to intense joy.
I had a shoot at Holcomb Garden on Butlers campus, never been before so grabbed some grub, a recently woken soul, cheez-its & hit the middle most grassy point and sat. Watching people come and go. Small chatter of birds. The freshly dampened grass from the early morning. The screaming laughter of children.
Watching this little one run and play topped off the early afternoon. She was full of happiness. So simple, so innocent.
Beautiful. Sanded down by the beating rocks, worn smooth by rushing water, carried only by the current. Stripped of everything but what has grounded it for its entire existence. Stopped there, in that place for me to capture its beauty forever.
The sharpness of the contrast. The smooth look of the falling water. Focused on what’s in front of you. What you can see. Its a cloudy day with a slow soft rain. Hidden by the beauty in this photograph.
That’s why I shoot.
